Maiya Coilton

Executive Function Coach & Educational Clinician

Maiya was an elementary school teacher for the past five years in San Francisco.  She specializes in creating and maintaining strong relationships with her students, encouraging them to truly enjoy learning. Her instructional practices include gamifying and storifying. These instructional strategies allow her students to make stronger connections and increase student engagement. Maiya has risen to the challenge of making online classes interactive and personal.

Maiya graduated from Sacramento State University, where she earned her degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (Communication Sciences and Disorders). In 2017, she earned her Master’s degree in Teaching and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. She is currently earning her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Boston University.

 

Maiya has experience serving diverse learning styles and needs. She is currently supporting students ranging from elementary through middle school with academic, social, and executive planning needs. She has a lot of patience and works well with diverse personalities.
