Roland Pope Is a native of Memphis TN.  He went to college at Morehouse in Atlanta GA, where he majored in English and graduated with high honors. After Morehouse, he traveled to South Korea and taught English for two years. There he developed a program where students in Korea interacted with students in Australia via live video.

 

After Korea, Roland moved to Brooklyn, NY where he became a dean of students, teacher of math and biology, and principal. Under his leadership in Brooklyn, Roland successfully met the academic, staff culture, and student culture goals for the community he served. Roland is currently a principal in Los Angeles California where he is having the same impact that he had in Brooklyn.  Roland lives by the quote, "Not everything that is faced can be changed but nothing can be changed until it's faced."
