Arla Samuels

Educational Therapist

Arla Samuels graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Theater and worked in the industry for a number of years. She later completed a Multiple Subject Credential program and transitioned to teaching in various public and independent schools across the country, with students ranging from preschool to high school. 

​

After seven years of general studies and math teaching, she decided to pursue a Certificate in Educational Therapy from Holy Names University in Oakland. She has also received certifications in a variety of multi sensory curricula in both math and reading, including Orton Gilligham and Making Math Real.

​

Arla has utilized her Educational Therapy training at a number of schools across the bay area, including Beacon Day School, Black Pine Circle School and Raksob Day School. She has focused on building remediation skills for students and even created a program for gifted math students at the elementary level. 

​

Arla enjoys working one on one with students and always puts her heart and soul into her craft.
